Our Mission

Technology Education.
Technology Enablement.
Ecosystem Building.

ETA was founded by a group of business and technology leaders dedicated to closing the gaps in emerging technology education and adoption. Our work centers on three priorities — helping professionals and organizations build the knowledge to lead, the tools to act, and the networks to grow — across AI, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and beyond.

Technology Education
Building the knowledge, skills, and credentials professionals and teams need to confidently lead in an AI-driven world — through events, workshops, certifications, and training programs.
Technology Enablement
Connecting organizations with the practical strategies, vetted advisors, and technology solutions that accelerate real AI adoption — moving beyond hype to measurable outcomes.
Ecosystem Building
Creating the environments — events, coalitions, programs, and partnerships — where cross-sector alignment happens and ideas become initiatives that move entire regions forward.
"Everyone is talking about AI. We're building the programs that help people and organizations actually do something about it."
— Summer Crenshaw, Co-Founder & CEO, Enterprise Technology Association
Leadership

The Team Building
America's AI Future

ETA is led by two of the most active voices in American AI readiness — a builder and a strategist working in tandem to turn national ambition into regional action.

"The Builder Behind the Movement"

Summer leads ETA with a conviction that America's AI readiness won't be built by keynote speeches alone. It takes organizational muscle, strategic partnerships, scalable programs, and relentless execution. She is the driving force behind ETA's growth as a national platform — bringing credibility as someone who builds, ships, and delivers at scale.

Under Summer's leadership, ETA has grown from a regional technology organization into a national movement — launching the AI Week conference series, building the AI Ready Ohio workforce program in partnership with JobsOhio, establishing the US AI Institute partnership, and developing the infrastructure for the National AI Accelerator.

"Everyone is talking about AI. We're building the programs that help people and organizations actually do something about it."
"No company, no university, and no government agency will make America AI-ready on its own. The ecosystem is the strategy."
"Technology education isn't a line item. It's infrastructure — as essential to a region's future as roads and broadband."

"The Architect of AI-Ready America"

Zack is the strategic mind behind ETA's regional AI readiness thesis — the conviction that heartland America isn't AI's afterthought, but its proving ground. He developed the Intelligent Regions Initiative to give communities a practical model for competing in the AI economy on the strength of who they are, not in spite of it.

As National Director, Zack oversees ETA's programmatic expansion, the AI Ready Ohio partnership with JobsOhio, and the National AI Accelerator. He has spent years building the case that the most important AI strategy in America isn't being written in Washington — it's being built by the partnerships on the ground in communities across the country.

"The heartland isn't AI's afterthought. It's AI's proving ground. The industries that built the middle class are the same ones AI will transform."
"If AI makes companies richer but communities poorer, we haven't succeeded — we've just automated inequality."
"The most effective AI policy in America right now isn't a bill in Congress — it's the partnerships being built between state agencies and the organizations doing the work."

Strategic Framework

The Thesis Behind
Everything We Build

ETA's work is grounded in a set of convictions about where technology adoption happens, who it should serve, and what it takes to make it real — not just in coastal tech centers, but across every region of America.

Initiative
Intelligent Regions Initiative
ETA's conviction that regions win in the AI economy not by copying Silicon Valley, but by building on their own industrial strengths, community assets, and talent networks. Intelligent Regions are AI-ready by design — with the training, partnerships, and infrastructure to compete on their own terms.
Advantage
The Heartland Advantage
The industries at the center of American technology transformation — manufacturing, automotive, logistics, agriculture, energy — are heartland industries. ETA's programs are built for the organizations and communities that sit at the intersection of industrial heritage and technology's biggest opportunities.
Principle
Prosperity as the Measure
ETA measures technology progress not in patent filings or VC funding, but in whether people are more prosperous — whether workers have better careers, businesses have sustainable advantages, and communities have durable economic foundations. Technology in service of people, not the other way around.
Strategy
The Ecosystem is the Strategy
No single company, university, or government agency makes a region technology-ready alone. ETA's model is built on the conviction that aligned ecosystems — employers, educators, economic development agencies, and community organizations — produce exponentially better outcomes than any actor working in isolation.
