Terms of use

Last updated: November 2026

These terms cover your use of joineta.org, your ETA account and membership, and the events, programs and services the Enterprise Technology Association (ETA) offers through the site. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your information. Questions? Email hello@joineta.org.

Who can use joineta.org

You must be at least 18 to create an account. If you join or buy on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to act for it, and these terms apply to the organization too.

Your account

You sign in with a one-time email link, Google or LinkedIn. Keep access to that email or account secure, because anyone who can open your sign-in links can use your account. Keep your profile accurate, and tell us right away at hello@joineta.org if you think someone else has used your account. One account per person.

Membership

  • Levels. ETA offers free and paid membership levels for individuals and organizations. The benefits of each level are described on the Memberships page. We may change benefits from time to time, and we will tell members about significant changes.
  • Renewal. Paid individual memberships renew automatically at the end of each term, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. You can cancel in My ETA, and your benefits continue until the end of the term you paid for. Organization memberships are invoiced before each renewal date.
  • Points, rewards and the Events Passport. Points and rewards have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and may be changed or ended. We may remove points earned through misuse.

Payments and refunds

Prices are in US dollars and include any taxes or fees shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.

ETA purchases are non-refundable, with one exception: event tickets can be refunded when you ask more than 30 days before the event starts. To ask for a refund, email hello@joineta.org. If ETA cancels an event and does not reschedule it, we will refund the ticket price. Sponsorships and other agreements signed with ETA follow the terms of that agreement.

Events

  • Tickets. A ticket admits the person it is assigned to. You can transfer a ticket to someone else in My ETA until 48 hours before the event starts, unless the event page says otherwise. Tickets may not be resold.
  • Changes. Speakers, sessions, times and venues can change. We will share significant changes with ticket holders.
  • Photos and recording. ETA events are often photographed, filmed or recorded. By attending, you agree that ETA may use images and recordings that include you to share and promote ETA and its programs.
  • On site. Follow the venue's rules and the instructions of event staff.

Code of conduct

ETA is a professional community. At our events, in the member directory and in anything you send through the site, treat others with respect. We do not allow harassment, discrimination, threats, or unwanted sales pitches to other members. We may remove anyone from an event, the directory or the site for breaking this code, without a refund.

The member directory

The directory is for professional networking between members. Do not copy or export it, add members to mailing lists, or use it for bulk outreach. Intro requests go through the ETA team.

What you share with us

You keep ownership of what you submit, such as your profile, messages, applications and listings. You give ETA permission to use, store and display it as needed to run the site and the programs you take part in, for example showing your listing to other members when you turn it on. Only share content you have the right to share.

ETA content

The site, our training, our research and reports, and the ETA, AI Ready and US AI Congress names and logos belong to ETA or our partners. You may use our materials for your own learning and inside your own organization. Do not resell or republish them, or use our names and logos in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission.

The ETA Concierge and other tools

The assistant on our site and tools such as Intelliscope use AI and public sources to help you find information. Their answers can be incomplete or wrong. They are not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. Check important details, such as funding program rules and deadlines, with the source before you rely on them.

Partners and other sites

Some events, programs and offers are provided with partners, and the site links to other websites. Partners and other sites have their own terms and policies, and ETA is not responsible for them.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, send spam, or upload anything harmful. Do not try to get into accounts or systems that are not yours, interfere with how the site works, or scrape or copy the site in bulk.

Suspending or closing an account

You can stop using the site at any time, and you can ask us to close your account by emailing hello@joineta.org. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts members or ETA at risk. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as payments owed, content rights and the limits below, still apply after an account is closed.

Disclaimers

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, ETA makes no warranties about the site, our content or third-party services, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, ETA is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data. ETA's total liability for any claim about the site or these terms is limited to the amount you paid ETA in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Campbell County, Kentucky. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue together.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell members by email or on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
