Director of Training Programs

Lead ETA's training portfolio, from the Certified AI Empowered Professional program to AI Ready state programs, trainer partners and the courses members ask for next.

The role

You own how ETA teaches. That covers our certification program, the hours-based credentials learners earn across AI Ready Ohio, AI Ready Georgia and AI Ready America, the workshops at AI Week, and a growing network of trainers who sell their courses through ETA. You set the roadmap, hold the quality bar, and make sure every learner leaves able to do something new at work.

What you'll do

  • Own the training roadmap: which courses, credentials and learning paths ETA builds next, and in what order.
  • Run the Certified AI Empowered Professional program and its Foundations, Practitioner and Advanced levels, including quizzes, completion standards and refreshes.
  • Build role-, tool- and industry-based courses with subject matter experts, from outline to launch.
  • Recruit, vet and support trainers who deliver and sell courses through the ETA platform.
  • Lead training delivery for state and regional programs, including AI Ready pilots with economic development and workforce partners.
  • Plan the learning tracks and workshops at AI Week and US AI Congress.
  • Track enrollment, completion, credential and satisfaction data, and use it to improve every course.
  • Work with sales and partnerships on training plans for member organizations, and help price and package them.

What you'll bring

  • 7 or more years designing and running adult learning, workforce training or professional certification programs, with at least 3 leading a program or team.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools at work and a clear view of how people learn to use them.
  • A record of launching courses or credentials that people finished and found useful.
  • Experience managing instructors, subject matter experts or vendors.
  • Comfort with a learning platform (LMS), learning data and simple reporting.
  • Strong writing, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Preferred: experience with workforce boards, economic development, community colleges or state training programs.
  • Willingness to travel to ETA events and partner sites.
